What to expect before your session.
Reaching out for support can feel like a big step, and it’s completely normal to feel a little nervous. The first step is a free 15 minute phone consultation where we can briefly discuss what support you are looking for, any questions you may have, and whether I might be able to help you.
All counselling sessions are held online via secure Zoom video conferencing, allowing you to access support from the comfort and privacy of your own space. Counselling sessions are approximately 50 minutes long. During our sessions, we will work together at a pace that feels comfortable for you, focusing on the areas you would like support with. Collaboratively we will set realistic and achievable goals and
review your progress at regular intervals.
Confidentiality is an important part of the counselling process. All information shared is kept private and confidential, with the exception of in situations where there are concerns regarding the safety or well-being you or those around you. The wellbeing and safety of children and young people will remain a priority in accordance with New Zealand legal and ethical guidelines.
